One Essential App to Organize Your Medical Career
Ever have trouble tracking organizing your license, credentials, continuing education, DEA number, NPI number, or prescriptive authority? I recently stumbled across this new program called Modio Health that helps nurse practitioners maintain compliance with their career documentation. I’d never realized how badly I needed a medical credentials app! This article summarizes the cool features and how you can use them as well.

One App to Rule Them All?
Modio Health is a clinician owned company based out of San Francisco, California. They were inspired by their own personal experience with the inefficiencies of the healthcare system and were determined to make credentialing and career management more simple and transparent. Their tagline, which I thought was awesome, is, “We aren’t just here to fix the healthcare industry, we’re here to transform it.” Pretty badass for a medical credentials app!
Modio Health’s primary goal is to make the job searching and credentialing process easier. Nurse practitioners can create a free account. When you login you will see your own dashboard that helps you manage your personal profile, state licensures, practice group, school, and DEA license. The process of filling out the information is streamlined and easy to use.
In addition, Modio allows you to upload your documents and store them online so that they can be accessed from anywhere. You will also receive renewal reminders and the ability to search for hundreds of different locum tenens or permanent jobs across the nation. In addition, Modio enables you to track your continuing education hours. Furthermore, Modio enables nurse practitioners to log their time and expenses for quick and easy reimbursement.
Modio has partnerships with a variety of companies to make sure the process is pretty simple. They are partnered with Health eCareers to help you search for jobs as well as a continuing education company and a malpractice insurance company. What excites me most about Modio is that everything is in one place, and it’s free. I like being able to archive all my important documents and rest assured that I’ll receive an email reminder before I need to renew.
